DV-Resource-Query message for Extended Call Management (ECM)

Bell Canada announces that DV-Resource-Query message functionality for DMS-100 Centrex ECM, previously disclosed in TAPAC Bulletin 93-03, dated March 24, 1993, will no longer be available after September 1, 1999. This message is sent by the host computer to the DMS-100 to ask the switch for information on specific nodal Automatic Call Distribution groups. All other aspects of this disclosed interface remain unchanged.

Compatibility Impact:

Centrex ECM customers and their host application vendors who currently use this feature will be required to make modifications to their Centrex ECM dependant call flows.

Documentation:

The technical specification of the ECM interface is contained in Northern Telecom document "CompuCALL Interface Specification", NT NIS-Q218-1, Issue 3.02, July, 1992.   Bell will invoice recipients $150 for each hard copy of this document.
