Megalink™ PRI Interface

Bell Canada announces that, effective first quarter 2000, registered Canadian carriers may request that the calling number within the Calling Party Information Element be presented when the Presentation Restricted indicator is set.

Compatibility Impact:

None expected, as there is no change to the interface.

Documentation:

The interface as offered by Bell Canada is described in the previously issued Bell document BID-0025, Bell Canada, "DMS-100™ Terminal-to-Network Interface for Megalink™ , ISDN Primary Rate Interface (PRI)", dated July 1998. BID-0025 is based on the interface specifications in Nortel Document NIS A211-1, Release 07.05, dated May 1997.

Bell will invoice recipients $65 each for hard copies of Bell document BID-0025, and $150 each for hard copies of Nortel Document NIS A211-1, Release 7.05. Electronic versions of BIDs are available for $50 each. Please note that the prices are subject to change without notice.
