BELL INDUSTRY ADVISORY

Bell Canada announces the planned trial of Release Link Trunk functionality in conjunction with its MegalinkÔ service. The trial is expected to start during the 3Q98. Subject to trial results and market demand, commercial service is expected to commence in selected areas by 2Q99.

The interface as offered by Bell Canada is described in Bell document BID-0025, Bell Canada, "DMS-100Ô Terminal-to-Network Interface for MegalinkÔ , ISDN Primary Rate Interface (PRI)", dated July 1998. BID-0025 is based on the interface specifications in Nortel Document NIS A211-1, Release 07.05, dated May 1997.

Bell will invoice recipients $65 each for hard copies of Bell document BID-0025, and $150 each for hard copies of Nortel Document NIS A211-1, Release 7.05.   Electronic versions of BIDs are available for $50 each.  Please note that the prices are subject to change without notice.
