Bell Canada announces that after September 30, 2008 it will
not support new implementations of the terminal-to-network interface as
described in
BID-0013
Appendix 5 “Data
Transmission Protocol For Bid-Switch ALI Links With Service Address”.
Implementations
that are in-service as of September 30, 2008 can remain in-service until no
longer required (i.e. they will be ‘grandfathered’).
Additional
lines for Bid-Switch implementations existing as of September 30, 2008 will
only be provided subject to equipment availability.
This change is reflected in
BID 0013 Issue 11, dated March 2008.
