Bell Canada announces the publication of an amended version of Bell Interface Document BID-0013, 9-1-1 Public Emergency Reporting Service (9-1-1 PERS) Terminal-to-Network Interface dated May 2001. The amended version, BID-0013 dated December 2001, has been issued to provide additional information on the Line to Digital Trunk Interface description, resulting from a Wireless E9-1-1 Trial. Section 3.2 of the Introduction and the format for the ESCO message (Message Type 10) in Appendix 2 have been updated to add a new field "Call Back Number". Additional editorial changes have been made to Appendices 1, 3, 5, and 6. Please see the Document History in the Introduction for specific details.

BID-0013 (December 2001) specifies the information to be transmitted between the Enhanced 9-1-1 (E9-1-1) Automatic Line Identification (ALI) System and terminals at the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). E9-1-1 Service delivers location details regarding the origin of a 9-1-1 dialed call to the designated PSAP, such as the time and date, calling line number, and street address can be received from the network by the terminal equipment at the PSAP.

Computer Aided Dispatch terminals described in Appendix 2 are impacted by the additional information provided in this amended version of BID-0013 dated December 2001.

These interfaces were previously disclosed in Bell Interface Document BID-0013, dated May 2001, released in Bell Industry Advisory BIA-1g. The revised interfaces are described in Document BID-0013, dated December 2001.
